Homelessness Week 2016    #HomelessnessCounts

Homelessness Australia is calling on supporters and friends to support this year’s Homelessness Week.

Homelessness Week is a national event held in the first week of August each year and calls on Australians to raise awareness of people experiencing homelessness and the issues these people face.

This year Homelessness Week falls between 1-7 August 2016.

In 2016, the theme of the Week is #homelessnesscounts, which highlights that the lives of people experiencing homelessness are important.

It also relates to the upcoming ABS Census and the importance of people experiencing homelessness being included and identified correctly in the Census count.
